Reliable knowledge for understanding.
TUMAINIInform. Understand. Choose.Giving young people the knowledge to understand, make informed choices and protect their future.

An informed child today,
a stronger Congo tomorrow.
Reliable knowledge for understanding.
Understand the effects, risks and consequences.
Make free and responsible choices for the future.
Protect young people, families and communities.
TUMAINI brings together Congolese partners and the Foundation for a Drug Free Europe around a shared ambition: giving young people the knowledge they need to make informed choices.
The project is based on a partnership signed in September 2026. Work focuses on adapting educational resources, preparing the training of trainers and organising an initial pilot.
The content and activities must reflect local realities. Partners work together to define priorities, responsibilities and the resources needed.
The first mission to Kinshasa is being prepared. Its proposed programme will be refined with the team.
Understand the situation and identify challenges and needs.
Build understanding and define the strategy.
Agree on commitments and organise cooperation.
Define actions, responsibilities and the timetable.
Train, adapt the tools and test them in the field.
Measure results and identify improvements.
Consider gradual expansion based on lessons from the pilot.

TUMAINI aims to share an approach and practical lessons with prevention teams in neighbouring countries. Each adaptation must take account of the needs and partners of the country concerned.
Field reports are shared in their original language when no English version is available.
